Our Philosophy

Garden Partners' philosophy of therapeutic gardening is unique:

• Engaging individuals in therapeutic gardening activities can improve the quality of their daily lives.
• Elderly or physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged individuals are as able as the next person to nurture and care for other living things.
• We believe each individual's life has meaning and purpose.

Year-Round. Because enhancing quality of life is an ongoing and evolving concept — not a time-limited endeavor, complete once treatment is finished — Garden Partners makes a commitment to support therapeutic gardening programs so they can be year-round. Our desire is to support nurturing, community atmospheres centered around gardens.

While still new to the general medical community, therapeutic gardening is a well-known and trusted treatment method in the occupational and horticultural therapy communities.
